Career Clusters

Career clusters: explore careers by field.

Direct answer: a career cluster groups related careers by the broad field they belong to — Technology & Data, Business & Finance, Law & Public Policy, Health & Human Services, and more. Use this page to browse by field; use career options to browse by life stage instead.

Explore by Cluster

Four clusters, and the careers inside them so far.

Technology & Data

Roles that build, analyse or apply software and data — from engineering to machine learning.

Law & Public Policy

Roles that interpret, argue, or shape the rules societies and organisations run on.

Health & Human Services

Roles centred on understanding and supporting people — clinically, psychologically or socially.

More Coming

Growing deliberately, not all at once.

We're adding Design & Creative, Science & Engineering, Education & Social Impact and more clusters over time — each with real, substantive career profiles rather than mass-generated summaries. If a field you're curious about isn't listed yet, our career options guides still cover it at the level of streams and routes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about career clusters.

What is a career cluster?

A grouping of individual careers that share a broad field or way of working — for example, "Technology & Data" groups roles like data science, software engineering and analytics, even though the day-to-day work differs across them.

How is this different from career options by stage?

Career options after 10th, 12th or graduation are organised by when you're deciding. Career clusters are organised by what field you're deciding between — a different way to browse the same underlying decision.

Why are only a few careers listed under each cluster?

We'd rather publish a smaller number of career profiles with real depth than a long list of thin, generic ones. More profiles are being added deliberately, cluster by cluster.

Explore your potential.

Browsing careers is one input. Understanding yourself is what makes the browsing useful.
